Game Theoretical Mechanism Design for Cognitive Radio Networks with Selfish Users

چکیده
Dynamic spectrum access with cognitive radios has become a promising approach to improve spectrum efficiency by adaptively coordinating different users’ access according to spectrum dynamics. However, selfish users competing with each other for spectrum may exchange false private information or collude with others, in order to get more access to the spectrum and achieve higher profits. In this article, we investigate two game-theoretical mechanism design methods to suppress cheating and collusion behavior of selfish users: a self-enforcing truth-telling mechanism for unlicensed spectrum sharing, and a collusion-resistant multi-stage dynamic spectrum pricing game for licensed spectrum sharing.

متن کاملDetecting Selfish Secondary User for Improving the Performance of Cognitive Radio Network by Using Sad Method
Cognitive radio (CR) is an opportunistic communication technology which is designed to utilize the maximum available licensed bandwidth for unlicensed users. In CR, when the spectrum is not used by primary user, it is accessed by the unlicensed users/secondary users. . In CRN a selfish SU (secondary user) broadcasts faked channel allocation information to other neighboring SUs in order to occup...

The traditional spectrum management techniques allow most of the spectrum to be used by licensed users exclusively. Spectrum sharing mechanism in Cognitive Radio Networks allows spectrum access to secondary user in addition to the primary licensed user. The Secondary Users, in order to compete for the spectrum, turn malicious and try to occupy all or a part of the available channel leading to S...
متن کاملAdaptive mechanism design and game theoretic analysis of auction-driven dynamic spectrum access in cognitive radio networks
This paper studies the auction-driven dynamic spectrum access in cognitive radio networks with heterogeneous secondary users, who have different risk attitudes. First, a game theoretic framework is established for auction-driven dynamic spectrum access in cognitive radio networks. The utility functions and bidding strategies of heterogeneous secondary users are defined, and the parameterized au...
